Support FOTAC - How to Donate

Donating to FOTAC makes a real difference. Almost every penny raised helps TAC's vital work in South Africa: funding treatment projects, and supporting essential campaigning for greater access to HIV treatment for all South Africans. The Treatment Action Campaign is already providing essential anti-Aids drugs and medical care to more than 100 of those in need; with your help we can treat thousands.

If you are able to contribute regularly, whatever you give will make a huge difference. It costs £30 a month to provide each person with anti-retroviral drugs and another £15 to cover all additional treatment costs.

Some FOTAC donors have joined together with friends or family to contribute the £45 a month needed to save a life in South Africa. Your money will also go towards TAC's vital campaigning and advocacy work - fighting for the rights of people affected by HIV and AIDS in South Africa.

This is what your money can buy:

  • £ 5 Will pay for an HIV counselling session
  • £ 6 Will fund a wellness workshop to teach people how to keep themselves healthy
  • £ 10 Will cover a doctor's visit
  • £ 14 Will fund a support group meeting for people with HIV.

Here at FOTAC we're working on signing up thousands of people to regular donations each month. Then we can ensure that TAC has a regular, dependable income so it can carry out its vital work in South Africa. It also allows us to keep growing our campaigns, and our education work here in the UK: in schools, colleges, businesses and unions.

As a voluntary organisation, we depend on contributions of time and money to get things done. As we grow as a charity, we aim to create a small number of paid posts: to improve our effectiveness, our efficiency, and our ability to raise funds. What we'll never be is a charity that spends heavily on administration, or forgets its purpose. Check out the ways you can regularly give to FOTAC below.
