On 10 September 2007, FoTAC held a candle lit vigil outside the South African High Commission, Trafalgar Square, London. We held the vigil in solidarity with protests taking place in South Africa where TAC is demanding that the South African government implement the HIV/AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections National Strategy Plan. We handed in a Memorandum of Demand to the South African High Commission which asked for good governance; the case of Nozizwe Madlala-Routledge the former Deputy Minister of Health was also highlighted
