Gillian Anderson

Gillian Anderson is an award-winning film, television, and theatre actress whose credits include the roles of Special Agent Dana Scully in FOX Television's long-running and critically-acclaimed drama series, The X-Files, and ill-fated socialite Lily Bart in Terence Davies' masterpiece, The House of Mirth, 2000. Her West End debut in 2003 was in Michael Weller's two-hander, What the Night Is For. Last year, she starred in Rebecca Gilman's play, The Sweetest Swing in Baseball, at London's Royal Court Theatre. Upcoming films include The Mighty Celt and A Cock and Bull Story (aka: Tristram Shandy). She recently finished working onThe Last King of Scotland in Uganda and will soon appear as Lady Dedlock in a BBC production of Charles Dickens' Bleak House. Her many awards include an Emmy and a Golden Globe in 1997. Gillian has now moved to London, and was present at FOTAC's first rally in May 2003. As well as the FOTAC, Gillian promotes awareness for many charitable causes such as Neurofibromatosis, Inc., the Neurofibromatosis Association (UK), Buskaid, ACTSA, PETA, and the Zimbabwe Benefit Foundation.
